Most system admins have their own shortcuts to open various components of Windows servers and client systems. Here are a few of our favorites. If you live in the command prompt and prefer to avoid mousing around, these are good to know.
most control panel items can be opened using their associated .cpl
Internet Options – or open through Control Panel / Internet Explorer
Windows Version info – shows the full Windows version information, build numbers, and service pack level
Action Center – Windows Security Center – change system tray alerts, update User Account Control settings
System Properties – change computer name, join to a domain, remote settings, advanced properties, etc
